Message from the clutch itself. It may only "seem" like it is due to the increased clamping from the pressure plate. Just curious, when you changed clutches, did you also replace the Throw out bearing, pivot ball, and/or clutch line? (and properly bleed it, of course if you did anything with the clutch line).

"notchy" shifting, like I said, isn't always caused by the clutch alone. What kind of transmission fluid were you running? Did you spill/leak any when you changed the tranny last if you didn't drain the fluid? Did you top it off? There's a number of variables which pertain to this issue, but yes, RPS = shit. :)
